ISSUE
Outbound messages are delayed with the following 400-series SMTP deferral:
"452 File write error - psmtp"
CAUSE
This error may occur when the primary data center is unavailable and messages are processed by the secondary data enter. On rare occasions, the secondary data center may be unable to quarantine an outbound message that triggers a filter, and the message is deferred.
RESOLUTION
The Postini System Operations team is alerted by automated monitoring systems when this issue occurs and intervenes to resolve the issue. When the primary data center becomes available, the message will be filtered and delivered as normal.
